I love KIND bars; I’ve been eating them for years, and when I decided to write a review and looked into the company, I was even happier! The company has a clear message of kindness and social responsibility. The company motto says it all: “do the KIND thing for your body, your taste buds, and the world.” I admire that their products are non-GMO, gluten free, and protein sources come mostly from peas, almonds and seeds.
They make great bars, but the company is about much more than snacks. The founder of KIND Snacks and bars is Daniel Lubetzky, a social entrepreneur, who founded the company in 2003. Lubetzky also founded a “not for only profit” company called PeaceWorks, which is essentially a joint venture with multiple local manufacturers in international regions and its priority is to sell the goods worldwide.
The KIND company was established in 2004 and started with 8 bars; today, KIND offers 22 bars + 6 healthy grains snack clusters. KIND bars have ingredients you can pronounce. They are made from all-natural whole nuts, fruits and whole grains. No secret ingredients and nothing artificial. Just a delicious way of getting your body essential nutrients like fiber, protein and antioxidants (to name a few).
KIND bars come in a few varieties; KIND Fruit & Nut, KIND Plus, which contains an extra boost of nutrition, providing extra protein, fiber, antioxidants or omega-3 fatty acids, and Strong & KIND. Flavors include Nut Delight, Almond and Coconut, Cranberry Almond + antioxidants, Blueberry Pecan + Fiber and many more. Read labels as some of the bars are a little high in sugar, but for the most part, these bars pass the test with flying colors!
By far my new favorites are the STRONG & KIND bars! These bars are also made from 100% whole ingredients: almonds, pumpkin & hemp seeds, pea crisps and spices, delivering 10grams of protein per bar with all 9 amino acids. And the flavors are amazing! Roasted Jalapeno, Honey Smoked BBQ, Honey Mustard, Thai Sweet Chili, and my personal favorite, Hickory Smoked!
I also like the fact that bars are around 200 calories, low in saturated fat, and provide a decent amount of protein and fiber!
Bottom Line: Doctor Jacq Approved! Great product, great company! For more, go to http://www.kindsnacks.com/
